Frequently Asked Questions

  • At this time, we are servicing the following areas: Barrington, Bristol, East Providence, Riverside, Rumford, Warren, and Seekonk MA. Don’t see your neighborhood listed? Send us a message to get added to the waitlist.

  • We follow best practices for cleaning all orders. This includes following your specifications for specialty cycles, separating items by light and dark, washing in cold water and using medium heat for drying.

We provide the option to choose from a variety of detergents. If you have special requests or preferences around the dry temperature or wash cycle, you can email hello@scrunchymamalaundry.com

  • No, we will separate lights and darks. However, if you have any newer dark clothes or items with heavy dye that may run even in a dark load, please bag separately and add a note in your order so we can take extra care.

  • No, yuck! Your order will be washed by itself in our sanitized machines.

  • We are not able to read individual label washing instructions. If you have items needing special care, please bag them separately and include instructions for our team. Due to current customer volume, we are not able to launder hand wash or dry clean only items so please keep them home.

  • Any kind of cinchable bag, zippered IKEA bags, or reusable laundry sack works best. Trash bags work in a pinch but ideally you’re using a sustainable option. Don't worry about labeling or tagging your bags our driver will do that for you. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept items not bagged, or in laundry baskets or laundry hampers.

  • Place your Hang Dry items in their own bag for pick up, along with your own hangers if you wish to have them returned hung. After laundering with the rest of your Wash & Fold, Hang Dry items will be hung up to dry and returned to you on a hanger or folded.

Our Hang Dry service is recommended for delicates and synthetics. Hang Dry items are NOT pressed after drying, so they may be returned with wrinkles. We do offer garment steaming for an additional fee.

Hang dry is available for Next Day only.

  • We’ll do our best, but it is very useful to know the exact source of each stain, since the best treatment will vary by the type of stain and the fabric type. While we’re usually successful at reducing and removing stains, we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to get it out. It’s helpful if you can proactively pre-treat stains before sending them to us. You have the option to select your stain treatment when placing your order.

  • At this time, we do not iron but do offer garment steaming for an additional fee. Please our Pricing page for more info.

  • We do not dry clean. Please keep your Dry Clean only items at home :)

  • An average family of 4-5 is about 10 lbs a person per week. Check at home with your bathroom scale for your approximate order.

  • Yes we do! Nothing makes life easier than literally taking a load off someone.

For Gift Cards or Baby Registry gifting (paying an amount towards a new mama’s service), please select that option under “Service Choice” on the order form and we’ll contact you to designate the amount and gift receiver’s information before invoicing you.

  • We do offer discounts for recurring service and referring friends.
